Novocherkassk, June 8, 2023 El 6 Novocherkassk has upgraded the dust and gas scrubbing system of the drier cylinder at the graphitization shop of Unit No. 4.

To enable better cleaning, the existing system consisting of a multicyclone arrangement and a wet scrubber, which had been previously used in the workshop to remove suspended particles from gas and dust flows, was replaced with a modern bag filter featuring a two-stage cleaning system.

After commissioning, the new gas scrubbing system showed 99.4% efficiency. The first seasoning session was successful, decreasing the moisture content of the material from 18.4% to 1.8%. 

Currently, El 6 Novocherkassk is planning a project to replace its gas scrubbing equipment on other sites.
