EL 6 NOVOCHERKASSK LAUNCHED A NEW RE-FIRING FURNACE INTO COMMERCIAL OPERATION
October 9, 2023 After completion of installation and commissioning work, the re-firing furnace with bogie hearth No. 3 was put into operation for the first time with a full volume of loaded products.
With the launch of the Riedhammer furnace into operation, El 6 Novocherkassk was able to produce an additional 650 tons of products per month at the re-firing processing stage.
The German furnace was put into operation by Russian specialists. Employees of the Moscow company, Makiba Technology, carried out commissioning work, as well as complete development and debugging of software for the equipment of furnace No. 3 and afterburning chamber No. 2.
Gennady Velichko, director of the El 6 Novocherkassk branch: “Bogie hearth furnaces are already in operation at El 6 Novocherkassk, and during their operation they have established themselves as efficient, functional and quality equipment. The launch of a new furnace into commercial operation is another step in the implementation of the program to introduce high-tech equipment and increase the production capacity of the enterprise.”
