EPM GROUP PUT INTO OPERATION MODERN FOUR-CHAMBER DIRECT HEATING GRAPHITE FURNACE
Moscow, May 19, 2020: EPM Group launched a modern direct heating graphitization furnace at the EPM-Novocherkassk electrode plant.
The cost of building the furnace amounted to 45 million rubles. The new equipment possesses improved technical parameters, high energy efficiency and environmental safety. The furnace will increase the output of 610 mm- electrodes by 280 tons per month.
“Despite the processes taking place in the global economy, our company maintains the production output, and keeps modernising equipment and increasing efficiency. Thanks to the launch of the new equipment, the plant is able to increase the production of large-diameter electrodes,” said Nikolai Naumov, EPM Group General Director.
At present, four runs have been carried out on the new furnace for loading and unloading 610 mm- electrodes.
