EL 6 JOINS TOP 16 BEST SUPPLIERS TO MMK
Magnitogorsk, July 18, 2024: El 6 is now among the TOP 16 best suppliers to Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works.
Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) granted the traditional «Supplier of the Year» award for 2023. MMK partners with more than 2,000 suppliers, 16 of which the company ranked as the best.
A dedicated board for the competition was created out of the company’s employees working at its Commercial Department to review supplies of materials and equipment in 2023. The board evaluated the suppliers using a whole set of criteria, such as the quality of products shipped, product demand, price reasonability, innovations, customer focus, prompt deliveries and their volume.
16 companies met every criterion, with El 6 topping the list in terms of offerings, innovations, and new materials in the Electrodes, Ferroalloys, and Non-Ferrous Metals procurement category.
MMK makes systematic evaluations of how effective its partnerships are by ranking its suppliers every quarter, performing technical audits of manufacturers on-site, and running monthly open-door format meetings.
Russia’s number one carbon-graphite producer, EL 6 primarily focuses on producing high-tech electrode, cathode and other carbon-graphite products for steel, aluminum, ferroalloy, silicon, chemicals, and mechanical engineering industries at three in-house production sites, namely, El 6 Novosibirsk, El 6 Novocherkassk, and El 6 Chelyabinsk.
