Moscow, August 23, 2023, El 6 has completed the certification process to prove the compliance of its integrated quality management system with the requirements of the international ISO 9001:2015 standard and its Russian counterpart GOST R ISO 9001-2015.

The certification was carried out by Russian Register acting as the national certification agency whose auditors visited El 6 branches (i.e., El 6 Novosibirsk, El 6 Novocherkassk and El 6 Chelyabinsk), in addition to El 6 head office in Moscow.

Previously, each production site used to be certified separately by different certification authorities. After the merger of the company’s production assets, which took place in May 2022, they decided to carry out a singlle procedure to certify El 6; the parent company having been certified for the first time.

“In order to certify El 6, within one year after the merger we were creating, building and implementing an integrated Quality Management System, including common processes, policies, quality guidelines and quality goals, unified rules and quality requirements,” commented Mikhail Alekseev, El 6 Deputy General Director – Quality Director.

El 6 (formerly EPM Group) is Russia’s number one carbon-graphite producer whose core business is focused on high-tech electrode, cathode and other carbon-graphite products for steel, aluminum, ferroalloy, silicon, chemical and machine-building industries, with its operations running at three production sites, namely, El 6 Novosibirsk, El 6 Novocherkassk and El 6 Chelyabinsk.
