EPM GROUP CONSOLIDATES BUSINESSES
30 August 2021: EPM Group consolidates operational assets and supporting supporting companies.
General Shareholders Meeting of EPM Group held on 9 August 2021 resolved to consolidate production facilities and companies comprising the Group.
The operating assets of EMP Group in Novosibirsk, Novocherkassk and Chelyabinsk, the Management Company (Moscow) and the Financial Service Centre (Novocherkassk) will be absorbed by El 6 LLC, registered in Moscow.
All assets and liabilities of these companies, which are currently independent legal entities, will be transferred to El 6 LLC, and the resulting company will be managed from the head office in Moscow and from the corresponding regional branches in Novosibirsk Region (El 6 Branch Novosibirsk), in Chelyabinsk Region (El 6 Branch Chelyabinsk) and in Rostov Region (El 6 Branch Novocherkassk).
"The consolidation is aimed at raising our operational efficiency, enhancing our production capacities located in different regions of our presence, ramping up the production and, as a result, raising our profits", said Marat Kharisov, General Director of EPM Group.
The consolidation of EPM Group does not imply any changes to the headcount or any decrease in tax amounts paid at different administrative levels.
The Group is planning to complete the consolidation process by 1 February 2022.
EPM Group is a leading Russian company specializing in carbon and graphite production. The main focus of the Group is the production of cutting-edge electrodes, cathodes and other carbon graphite products for steel-making, aluminium, ferro-alloy, silicon, chemistry and machine-building sectors. EPM Group includes two major electrode plants in Novosibirsk and in Novocherkassk, as well as Doncarb Grafit LLC (with sites in Novocherkassk and in Chelyabinsk).
