EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant (EPM Group member) is a new partner of the Teacher for Russia Program implemented by the New Teacher Charitable Foundation. The Company has channelled 1.8 million roubles to train 12 specialists within the Summer Institute, an intensive professional retraining program for aspiring teachers.
Starting September 1, teachers trained under EPM Group’s sponsorship will teach more than one hundred children of Linyovo and other schools of the Iskitim District.
The charitable donation by EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant will help the New Teacher Foundation to arrange professional training of participants in the seventh intake of the Teacher for Russia Program at the Summer Institute, a five-week workshop with developmental psychology courses, public speaking, practical exercises to learn out-of-school work formats and lesson designing and teaching skills. Many Program students will, for the first time, have an opportunity to try their hand in teaching, deliver his or her first lesson and immerse in the school atmosphere. The Summer Institute means 340 hours of professional training of teachers under the guidance of high-quality specialists. The educational program is accredited and run in partnership with the Education Institute of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

The Teacher for Russia Project will enable the children of Linyovo, home to our largest plant, to obtain necessary knowledge from the specialists of the social program. 12 teachers for more than 1,000 children from Linyovo and other schools of the Iskitim District will be trained under the Teacher of Russia Program thanks to the support from EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant.

Teacher for Russia is a social program to provide equal educational opportunities for children in different regions of Russia. The Program is run by the New Teacher Charitable Foundation in the strategic partnership with Sberbank of Russia, PJSC, Contribution to the Future Charitable Foundation of Sberbank of Russia, PJSC, and Education Institute of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. In 2021 the Teacher for Russia Program covers 95 schools in seven regions of Russia, with 240 teachers of the Program teaching more than 30 thousand children.
