Novosibirsk, June 7, 2019. A traveling photo exhibition dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant JSC (hereinafter referred to as the EPM – NovEZ, part of the EPM Group) opened in Pervomayskiy Square, Novosibirsk.
The exhibition presents historical and modern photographs illustrating the milestones in the development of the largest electrode production plant in Russia. The plant was commissioned on July 3, 1974.
The opening of the photo exhibition in Pervomaiskiy Square was attended by the Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast, Sergei Semka, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment of the Novisibirsk Oblast, Yuri Marchenko, the Head of the Linevo worker's settlement, Iskitim , the Novosibirsk Oblast, Yakov Landais, the Managing Director of the EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant JSC, Aleksei Spektoruk, as well as veterans and employees of the plant.
The Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast, Sergei Semka, congratulated the EPM – NovEZ JSC on the anniversary and pointed out that: "The products of the Novosibirsk Electrode Plant are in demand by companies around the whole world. The electrode plant puts the Novosibirsk Oblast on the map. We wish for the plant to continue developing and gaining momentum, and to stay the best not only in the country, but in the world.
The Managing Director of the EPM – NovEZ JSC, Aleksei Spektoruk, noted that the plant is facing some serious challenges, central of which are modernizing production and improving the quality of its products. "Within the framework of the investment program of the EPM – Novosibirsk Electrode Plant, it is planned to hold a ceremonial start-up of a new mixing complex, which will be timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Company in September this year," added Aleksei Spektoruk.
The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment of the Novosibirsk Oblast, Yuri Marchenko, congratulated the Company on the anniversary, and presented the Managing Director of the EPM – NovEZ JSC, Alexei Spektoruk, with a letter of gratitude for his support of the environmental initiatives of the region and his active work towards the introduction and implementation of environmental measures: "As a way to mark that the Novosibirsk Electrode Plant is a partner company and that the plant has done a lot for the environmental safety of the region, we present the EPM – NovEZ JSC with a certificate of appreciation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment of the Novosibirsk Oblast."
The Head of the Linevo worker's settlement, Yakov Landais, noted the important role of the Novosibirsk Electrode Plant: "This is a town-forming enterprise -- without it, our settlement wouldn't exists. The plant is an essential part of the social and community life of Linevo. Practically every resident has some sort of connection to it, and 20% of the population work at this very plant.
The traveling photo exhibition dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the EPM – NovEZ JSC will be open in Novosibirsk until the end of summer. The photographs will be displayed in the Central Okrug, Leninskiy, Oktyabrskiy, and Sovetskiy Districts of Novosibirsk.
